Common questions for community & street orders
Who do I buy from — Brightech or one of your suppliers?
Always Brightech. Your contract, invoice, warranty and after-sales support are with Brightech directly. We aggregate the global OEMs behind the scenes so you have one accountable partner.
Can I order as a household, or only as a HOA / municipality?
Both. Single households can order Garden TY pathway lights or contribute to a street pledge. For full street rollouts we recommend the Pledge a Street flow so the cost is shared with neighbours.
What's the typical lead time?
Stock items ship in 1–2 weeks. Larger projects with custom pole heights or finishes typically run 6–10 weeks from confirmed quote and deposit.
Is installation included?
Yes — through our preferred build partner Lifebuild.africa. The calculator includes pole hardware and civils per pole. Connectivity (4G/fibre) is delivered by Brightlink.co where required.
What warranty do I get?
5 years on the Nova 80 AIO and most luminaires; 2 years on cameras and IoT controllers. Battery cycle life is 2500+ cycles (LiFePO4).
Do the lights work during load-shedding?
Yes. Solar all-in-one units are completely off-grid: solar charges the LiFePO4 battery during the day, lights run at night with 3–5 days of rainy-day autonomy.
Can I finance the order?
Yes. The calculator models 12–60 month financing terms. For collective street orders, households split the monthly payment via the Pledge flow.
Can I see the lights in person?
